Description

Ready to rumble and capture memories of yesteryear! There is nothing like a mid year Corvette coupe to ignite just about anyone's senses. Tastefully beefed up while retaining that Classic Vette style, you won't want to miss taking a good strong look at the extensive photo's and video of this specimen...

Starting with the body which was totally stripped of prior finishes and resealed revealing a no hit all original panel (never involved in a accident, all original body seams were visible) and finally professionally refinished, jamb to Jamb, it's original "900FF" Nassau Blue. Sporting 2,200 miles since it's once over and always stored indoors with a large So Cal Collection...

The engine was built by Jack McClure of Marine Performance design Costa Mesa, Ca.  Jacks company held the un-blown worlds record in Drag boats for almost eleven years. The engine was built for the owner as a very special favor, as Jack will normally not build street engines. A 396 425 hp that will truly develop close to the real original horsepower of these engines takes a real talent. This car will run on pump fuel and deliver a substantial experience . However using a additive only improves the experience...

Equipped with its original transmission, close–ratio four-speed and has been completely rebuilt. The Hurst shifter is period correct and was made only for corvettes of that period. The differential is also of a special nature, the early big blocks were subject to cracking the housings. This car has a after market hosing made by J and S Gear Co. Huntington Beach, Ca and is called a P-400 case...

The suspension was completely redone or replaced were needed. The true big horsepower cars were fitted shorter stiffer coils and heaver torsion bars. The two front coils and the rear leaf were replaced with new. The suspension joints where rubber was is now all urethane. The brakes were the first year for the four wheel disc. To maintain the original car, the brakes were completely rebuilt with stainless steel liners in all brake cylinders...

In short, it was rebuilt/restored to period correct appearance and mechanically rebuilt to achieve the same horsepower as the car was originally delivered... a NO excuses resto-mod that looks good and handles even better. Get In, Shut Up and Let's Go... Don't Miss it!
