It is no secret that in order to focus on the target of
becoming a "Ridler Contender" at the Detroit Autorama, you must
have a creative vision, passion and an unwavering financial
commitment! As with many Contenders, this owners passion stemmed
from childhood memories, his father promised to buy him a 1959
Impala while in High School, by the time an order was possible,
the production run had ceased. Over the years, he held many
record holding Drag Cars, Street Rods and Classics but this
would be his most passionate creation! We spent several hours
taking hundreds photos and many copious notes, here they are...
Purchased from Nicolas Cage
as a starting
point!! The eventual mission took 3 years
(5 Pros-Full Time-Last 3-months), many hours of nerve racking
perfection, patience and most of all, a very understanding Wife!
He realized his dream! As time plays it role on all of us, the
only reason for marketing this Winged Wonder is failing knees
and the understanding wife who wants to travel. Now it's your turn...
