Description

Reflections of time... as you take the time to study this absolutely stunning 51 Mercury Custom, you may find yourself mesmerized by the reflections that are captured within. Let's face it, there is nothing more captivating than the timeless style of a masterfully massaged "Mercury Lead Sled" transcending decades, cultures, music and capturing generations. This wonderful presence will stop you in your tracks with it's beauty and provenance. A delightful combination of workmanship, style, engineering, drivability and historical significance...

The masterful body modifications on this beauty were performed by none another than the legendary Automotive Custom Car Designer "Dick Dean" who was also nick named "The Ghost Builder" because of his behind the scenes work with George Barris, Dean Jeffries, countless movie cars and other award winning custom car designs. Modifications performed by Dick at his San Jacinto, Ca "Imagineering" workshop include 4 1/2 Chop, 4 1/2 Slant Post, 50's Style Hood, Frenched Headlights, Frenched Tail Lights, Shaved Handles, Fuel Door, Decked, Nosed and Grill Opening...

A proud participant of the 2009 "Sacramento Autorama" and 70th anniversary of the 39 Mercury. The promoters sought out a gathering of the most prestigious, historically significant and well known Custom Mercs in the Nation ranging in years 1939 to the mid 1950's. A prestigious invitation only event where 1,000's applied and only the "Great 38" were chosen for this all Custom Merc Display, all in one building, the largest Mercury gathering ever! Enthusiast's traveled from around the World to view this once in a lifetime event...

In closing, we offer this fine historic automobile to the most discriminating buyer with confidence. Truly a work of fine art with high tech engineering and excellent road manners...
