Description

Talk about good sporty fun and timeless style! Rest your eyes on this elegantly styled 1950's British Motor Car. During it's day, the public was given an early glimpse of things to come during the 1951 Le Mans Endurance Races in the form of a TD Midget with body modifications. Early racing success would eventually lead to the production of 3 aluminum bodied "EX182" racing prototype's...

These early events would create MGA's image of racing credibility, mechanical reliability and eventually lead to the initial public offering for the 1955 model year. British Motor Corporation would go on to enjoy MGA production into the 1962 model year. During this time period, they enjoyed the marquee of "the best selling British sports car in the USA" and one of the "most popular British sports cars of all time". During the 1957 model year, only 20,571 MGA Roadsters were produced and the total  production run (1955-1962) would reach 101,081 units...

This wonderfully restored and solid example was purchased by the current owner at the prestigious Monterey California Auto Week events and auction in 2002 where it was offered with a recent and thorough complete restoration performed by a marquee specialist. An "Olde English White" example fitted with many great options and details...

Since that time it has been protected indoors and operated very few miles only to local shows, events and occasional cruises up the Coast Highway.

Equipment
Factory equipped 1489cc B series engine, Manual Transmission, Chrome Wire Wheels, Matching Spare, Tonneau Cover, Red Leather Interior and Black Soft Top w/side curtains.
Known Facts

Free and Clear Private Party Titled in the State of California. A rock solid example with a (top, bottom, inside & out) restoration of professional quality completed in 2001-2002. Light Restoration Patina, there is a visible stain on the leather seat of unknown origin, possibly dyed during restoration and re-revealed itself over time, the carpet shows some fade. The body is super straight solid and looks great but under just the right light, at just the right angle, only on upper surfaces, there is some visible sub-surface prep/prime material shrinkage that does not break final finish surface. I would call it typical shrinkage and in my opinion, should professionally buff out. Again, in my professional opinion, this is in NO Way detracts from the car or it's appearance, beauty or use. Starts, Runs and Drives Nicely... Study the extensive photos and video's. A very nice example! Good Luck...
