Description

This is one super fine "Resto-Mod" with exceptional attention to detail. The Perfect Blend of Classic Performance and Style! At first glance, you'll think it's NCRS material until you open the hood and peek at the undercarriage. The current owner of 16 years is a mechanical wizard and cosmetic perfectionist noting that the entire restoration/modernization was completed about 3 years ago and 4,200 trustworthy miles...

The exterior body preparation, gaps and panel alignments are near perfection and certainly offer no excuses. Refinished a factory color of arctic blue (basecoat/clear-coat) without the optional silver cove (The owner wanted a stripper look). Fitted with 16x6 steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps in order to gain the look of the ’57 RPO 276 race wheel option. Soft Top Only...

Residing under the hood is Smeding extreme 383 crate motor with AFR 195 eliminator heads, new standard bore block with 9.7 compression, Comp cam roller cam-.501/.508 lift, 222/228 duration. Roller rockers, hypereutectic pistons, steel crank and rods, ARP bolts. Edelbrock air gap with 750 Holley. Jet hot coated Hooker headers,  full stainless exhaust with stainless Flowmaster 50’s, Custom twin 1 ½” tube Griffin aluminum radiator, Stewart aluminum water pump and more. No problems with 91 octane. Dyno sheet states 487 ft lb at 4200 & 460 hp at 5500. GREAT TORQUER...

Transferring the smooth horsepower is a Richmond 5 speed, Long shifter (factory shift handle installed. Currie 9” 31 spline axels with Strange aluminum center section (2:75 gears, true-track differential). Cruses 2300 RPM at 70 MPH. With the 3:27 first gear it accelerates like it has a 3:70 rear. If  kept to 2000 rpm’s (60 mph) the car will get 20 mpg...

Rust free factory frame with Jim Meyer front rack & pinion suspension-non power steering. Other features include Baer 4 wheel power disc brakes (12” front, 11” rear, PBR style calipers). Both sides of the floor pan & inner wheel wells have been lizard skinned...

The interior is the factory color (beige) & material (Al Knoch). It has a stock type wheel, except it’s leather wrapped and cut down from 17” to 15”. The only other change to the interior is that where the radio would be, is an air-conditioner vent. At a glance it looks like a radio, and the factory radio knobs where adapted to operate the Vintage Air Conditioning. The Speedo, temp. & gas gauges are rebuilt, recalibrated factory gauges. The tachometer, amp and oil pressure gauges have stock faces on Autometer gauges and the clock has a quartz movement. There is a hidden secret audio radio with I-pod adapter in the trunk and kick-panel speakers. Features include Vintage Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, SPW 2 speed intermit. wipers, Dakota digital cruse control, Ron Francis wiring...
